Welcome to our chic and family-friendly 5-bedroom home nestled near charming downtown New Haven, Indiana. This retreat was well built in the early 1900s and recently lovingly restored with all the modern conveniences. This historic style comes with large windows and beautiful details unique to its era. On the first floor you will find a spacious living space, dining area, modern equipped kitchen, restroom and sitting parlor, so there's room for everyone! The living room beckons you to unwind and relax after a day of exploration, featuring a large comfortable sectional couch and a large smart TV, perfect for family movie nights or catching up on your favorite shows. Adjacent to the living area is a cozy parlor where you can enjoy a book or a good conversation with friends and family. The kitchen comes complete with modern appliances, stocked with all the essential cookware and utensils, with counter seating for two. The adjacent dining area is thoughtfully arranged with a spacious table that comfortably seats eight. The dining area also offers a small workspace and a selection of games, ensuring that your stay can be both productive and entertained. When it's time to retire for the night, the second floor includes a washer/dryer stack, a restroom with a walk-in shower and four bedrooms each offering a private sanctuary featuring plush beds adorned with soft linens and stylish decor. The third floor master suite boasts a comfortable queen bed, a small sitting area, a wet bar with mini-fridge, and en-suite restroom featuring a double sink vanity and a walk-in shower.

Jacinda was an excellent host. Very communicative and friendly. The property was well maintained and has great parking for at least 4 cars. The home was in excellent condition, was very clean and spacious, and the amenities were excellent. We had no problem fitting 7 adults comfortably. New Haven area was clean and quiet (minus the trains) and seemed to be undergoing new development. We were in town for an event in Fort Wayne which was only about 15 minutes from this home and the drive was very easy. I would definitely recommend Jacinda and her Retreat on Rufus to anyone looking to stay in the area. Very satisfied!
Jacinda home is beautiful just like the photos very nice and clean plenty of room for my family of 11 It’s home away from home we were so comfortable we booked for an extra day will recommend to anyone that’s coming into the New Haven area
We had a great stay. It was perfect for our large family group in town for a wedding. Everything was as described but also exceeded our expectations. Jacinda was an excellent host to deal with . I would gladly stay there again and highly recommend for anyone looking for accomodation in the Fort Wayne area.
Had a great time meeting with cousins. Cute older house, with lots of space for sleeping and a big dining room for the two families.
We loooved this place! So cute and cozy! Perfect for a little weekend trip. My only concern is that it states it has two king beds. But there is only one. The master bedroom has a queen/full not a king. The only king is on the second floor. So that was a bummer but we made it work!! But just in case someone is banking on two kings. Would still 100% recommend this place!! The host was so responsive and helpful!! The house had all the essentials and everything!

We are located a few blocks away from a railroad crossing but have put in fans at the house to provide some white noise at night!
