The apartment is located in city center and is a side street from Torggata.
Torggata is a street in central Oslo known for its many restaurants and bars. In this one fairly short street, reserved for pedestrians and bicycle riders, you can find everything from Starbucks coffee to bubble tea, from kebabs to fine dining, and from trendy fashion to a dedicated cap store. The street that used to be just another street has become a destination in itself, as well a natural link between the trendy Grünerløkka and the vibrant Youngstorget.
Torggata and its side streets offer restaurants like Arakataka, Taco República and Munchies, bars like Tilt and Café Sara, and the brewery/bar Crowbar. Just around the corner you can find large concert venues like Sentrum Scene, Rockefeller and John Dee, making Torggata and its surrounding area a versatile destination that offers something for everyone.
Grünerløkka:
Through Oslo, from north to south, runs the river Akerselva. Along the river there are parklands and walking trails, but also remains of Oslo’s industrial history.
Grünerløkka lies on the east side of the river, behind the old industrial buildings. Here you will discover numerous little cafés, restaurants and bars. Grünerløkka is also a popular shopping district, with original design shops and many vintage and second-hand stores.

Oslo city is such a "small" and compact city which actually makes walking around the best way of seeing the city. And the apartment is located in just the right area for exactly that, seeing the city by foot - so bring good walking shoes :)
City bikes are also a very good option during summer times.
Other than that, public transportation is easily accessible only a block from the apartment with busses running every 5 min that will connect you to the majority of the city.
