Truly an excellent listing- it made our stay (with two families with kids) far more enjoyable than would have been the case at any hotel. Very private, comfortable, and elegant. Well-appointed with all the appliances and amenities one would want for their own home. Great neighborhood, only about ten minutes away from anywhere you’d want to be in Brownsville and 30 minutes away from South Padre, and you get to come “home” at the end of every day and enjoy unwinding in a specific kind of luxury that will leave you glad you’ve stayed with a host who appreciates the art of curating an inviting home. The one downside is that you should not expect to sleep well. The neighbors behind the back fence have multiple chickens (more like roosters) that sound off throughout the night. Host assured us she’d complain again to the city and sent ear plugs and a noise maker, which was cool. But we found previous batches of earplugs in the burst bath, so this has been an ongoing issue.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this home. It was sparkling clean and extremely organized. Cabinets were labeled with what to expect inside them. Never stayed at a home such as this one. Highly recommend! 10 stars!

The airbnb was even nicer than the pictures. The host had it decorated for Christmas which made it feel homey. The house is pretty new and had everything we needed during our stay. The only things that weren’t great were the neighbors that have a dog that barks all night and chickens and a rooster that starts crowing at the top of its lungs before the crack of dawn and continues all morning. We solved this with white noise for our girls and ear plugs for us. It wasn’t a deal breaker for us but something to consider if you’re very sensitive to noise. Overall we would stay here again.
