The apartment is located in a historic building very conveniently located in the Old Town, with the well maintained city park only a few steps away (you will have a view of the park, its over the bridge).
The park is good for walks, there are playgrounds for kids, a lake and a (not crowded and well maintained) public pool open in the summer with some food stalls. When you cross the park in a few minutes you are at the train station.

1. Very easy on foot (only one note - the apt is on the first floor without lift so something to consider if you are a wheelchair user for example):
If you exit the building and go right for 2 minutes you arrive at Mlynska ulica with a well stocked foodstore (not open on a sunday), various restaurants etc. That street will take you to the St Elizabeths Cathedral (which you will see) in the centre of the long Main Street.
And finally if you exit the building, go right and carry on straight for 5 minutes you arrive at Aupark, which is a fairly big and still news shopping centre (open every day till 21.00) which includes restaurants, gym, a Billa foodstore and many shops. You will go past (an indoor swimming pool - currently under reconstruction) and MC Donalds (behind it there is a nice beach club with sand, outdoor restaurant open in the warm months, pool for kids, all really nice).
The location really is ideal (an apartment directly on the main street would not be so great as there would be hardly anywhere to park and thats where the crowds are (and events - meaning noise). Also there are no foodstores on the main street.
2. There is public parking all around for around for 6EUR / day.
3. Train station is about 7 minutes on foot - you just cross the park (there are busses and trams also but there are other stops nearby too).
4. The Airport is about 13 minutes by car/ taxi.
