This place was small but exceptionally nice. It had everything you would expect and then extra little touches that would surprise you, like starter sodas, water, and a bag of ice. There's a custom info board inside with all the local information and recommendations you would spend hours trying to dig up yourself. There's one outside picture with a black (nextdoor) sidewalk that kind of makes it look like it might be sketchy, but it totally is not. The area is nice, with lots of fixed up houses, and quiet little streets. The square is a skip away and there are lots of really cool shops with ice cream, custom candies, local coffee, etc. The service station across the street has some snacks, there is a full grocery store about 2-3 blocks away, and a couple of pubs on the square. This is only about 20 minutes to East Peoria/Peoria, but you get to stay in a quiet, clean, safe, historic town. We would definitely stay here again! Loved it.

John and Samantha were great hosts! They communicated well and responded to questions promptly. The house was exactly as described. Extra ammentities such as cold beverages in the fridge upon arrival, coffee pods, and a white noise machine made the stay even more relaxing. I would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area!

Love this little home away from home. Second time staying, and it’s truly a perfect spot right off the square.
