This lovely penthouse is located in the central residential area called Faneromanis, one of the most upscale areas of town. It's right by one of Cyprus's highlights, the Salt lake where you can see flamingos in the winter and a beautiful white desert in the summer. You will be surrounded by beautiful houses with lovely gardens and palm, olive and orange trees everywhere. The middle of the iconic Salt lake trail is only around 200 meters away from there if you turn left you can reach the famous Mackenzie beach where you can have a wonderful frappe late at cafe Nero. And if you turn to the right, only 2 km down the trail you will come across the historic Roman Kamares aqueduct - a wonderful and very well preserved structure.
Depending on your pace around 15 to 20 min walk to Larnaca castle and the beach promenade at Finikoudes. We are not located at the beach and we find this to be a good thing. No noise, crowds and commercialised touristic shops and restaurants. Instead you will be in an authentic and very charming non-touristic part - yet you can easily walk down to the sea whenever you feel like it.
Ideal day in the neighbourhood can start with a coffee and spanakopita (spinach pie) at Gregory's, stroll down to the sea for a swim, walk back to freshen up and enjoying for arguably the best mixed souvlaki (chicken and sheftalia with tahini sauce) at To Glenty. Then after a nice siesta, a lovely trail walk at the Salt lake for some breath-taking sunset before finishing the day off with a meze and Xinistery white wine at Zenon tavern (also available for a take away or home delivery trough the Foody or Wolt apps).
In fact, good to mention here, you can order anything you like on the above apps and they will deliver to you at the penthouse, including groceries which is very handy especially for heavy items.

Getting around is easy on foot. The bakery Zorbas Faneromanis (open 24/7) is 2 min away and besides amazing freshly baked feta, olive, spinach, apple etc pies, freshly squeezed orange juice and all sorts of refreshments, has a made-to-order salad and sandwiches station and a coffee shop on the premises. It's really the perfect one-stop place for lunch or breakfast or if you fancy something late at night when everything else is already closed.
Within 400 meter radius there are a several traditional restaurants (Vokolida, Zenon, To Glenty, Souvlaki express) and we are less then one km from Red Pepper. Obviously you can also walk to Agios Lazarus square area in a about 15 min and there you have anything you like - Cypriot, Greek, Italian, Sushi, Indian, Lebanese and even a new addition - a nice Jordanian restaurant called Watar Ziryab which besides delicious food and top notch service, also offers Agios Lazarus church views. We have provided a list of carefully researched recommendations for you when you arrive.
Back in Faneromanis - Coffee shops are just 2 to 4 min walk from the penthouse- Coffee Island, Coffee Berry, Gregory's and the coffee shop by the Food Haus grocery store is also really nice.
If you need things like cigarettes, beer, wine and even cleaning and household products the kiosk So easy is located just 4 min walk and they are also open 24/7.
Two pharmacies are located on the main street as well and besides medications and supplements of all sorts they also offer a great selection of sunscreens and other cosmetics if you are missing something. Gelateria di' Gusto can be a nice stop on a hot day and you can even get a haircut a a fancy blow dry at Komo Hair&Beauty.
The penthouse is 10-15 min drive from Larnaca International airport and taxi costs around 20 EUR depending on luggage and number of people. If you prefer to be able to explore more of the island, rental car is recommended as public transport in Cyprus is not as well developed. But if you are ok with a bit of walking and prefer to spend your time in Larnaca you really don't need a car. For day excursions you can also hire a tour company, there are plenty that offer such a services.
