Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Waitarere beach is a peaceful settlement 10 mins from Levin and just over an hour's drive from Wellington,the capital of New Zealand. Waitarere beach has a mini supermarket within which has its own bakery and is open 365 days of the year! for all your grocery needs including freshly baked bread and pastries Daily. Seashell cottage is a very short walk (5 minutes) to the beach or the mini supermarket called 4 Square. Look up Waitarere beach. Relaxing,spacious,warm and serene. Seashell cottage is just 5 mins walk to the beach which has some of the best sunrises and sunsets in New Zealand. All of which are visible from the dining room at our Seashell cottage.

We had a fantastic stay! The kids absolutely loved the holiday house, and we found it to be a peaceful retreat. Our host was incredibly helpful, making our experience even more enjoyable.
Lovely home, had everything we needed apart from additional towels - so there was only one towel per person for a three night stay, and no washing machine. Couches weren’t the most comfortable but that’s down to personal preference so not something that would stop me going back again or recommending someone else to stay. Beds were great, nice linen and pillows.

Waitarere beach is surrounded by 2 beautiful pine forests both containing adventure playgrounds and biking/walking tracks for the kids and adults to enjoy. There is also a kids playground/playing field next to the public free tennis courts so remember to bring your tennis gear and swimsuits. In addition Waitarere beach offers some of the best sunrises and sunsets New Zealand has.
Parking free in Waitarere and cyclists and walkers are respected
