High Point Village is a hidden gem! The cabins look and feel great. It is so relaxing to stay there and hike, walk, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The food and hospitality at the restaurant/cafe is 2nd to none. Every meal is an incredible, delicious experience. It feels like a home away from home.

We went for a weekend with our two toddlers for a quiet anniversary getaway. Cabin site was beautiful with the lake view across the street. We really enjoyed dinner next door at the Hill of Beans. However, we did notice mice poop all over our kitchen at the cabin- we cleaned it up but it showed back up the next morning as well as hearing mice crawl around the ceiling of the master bedroom. The WiFi did not work in the cabin. It wasn’t a big deal as we wanted family time but posed a problem for toddler distraction. The smart tv does not have any ‘smart’ apps downloaded- only options are dvds/vhs and live tv that only had 5 working channels. Again not a big deal to us but it wasn’t as described in the listing. Large dirt hill downward to our cabin covered in wet leaves and dirt that we needed to manually clear in order to not slip carrying our luggage in. Could be a super wonderful stay with some improvements!

Mrs. Kathy was so wonderful. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures. The scenery, the lake, and the colorful autumn made you feel like you were in a dream. The kitchen was fully stocked and we had great access to trails. Would recommend to anyone.
