Upon entering this stylish lodge, you’re greeted by the open-plan living space with a vaulted ceiling which comprises a three-seater sofa, an armchair and a wall-mounted TV for the primary social area offering a space to relax and unwind. In one corner is a roaring wood burner, perfect for chilly evenings, and tall windows along one wall allow natural light to pour in. The kitchen area is light and bright with pastel tones and dual aspect windows offering a treat for the dedicated chef of the day. Meals can be served up on the dining table which seats six, bringing everyone together to share stories and make plans for the days ahead. The first of the bedrooms is a double which boasts views into the garden as well as an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and a bath for a little luxury. There is also a mezzanine bedroom featuring a king-size bed which is accessed from the living room, and a tasteful twin which is great for children. Completing the property is a family bathroom with a shower and a bath where you can take a long soak and enjoy peace and quiet at the end of the day. The garden area sits within the wider grounds, offering the chance to take a tip in the relaxing hot tub, or cook up a feast on the BBQ during the warmer months of the year. The village of Talybont-on-Usk lies just a mile away, where you’ll find a local pub and shop on the days when you wish to stay closer to home. There are a number of fascinating market towns to visit in the area, with Abergavenny, a foodie hotspot, 15 miles, and the literary lovers' haven of Hay-on-Wye 20 miles. To explore the Brecon Beacons on foot, tackle the challenging climb of Pen-y-Fan (14 miles) or opt for a gentler stroll around the Talybont Reservoir which is teeming with rare birds and wildlife.
