This delightful romantic retreat for two has the perfect setting in a splendid Victorian mansion with a picture-book turret and tranquil gardens. The secluded hideaway is tucked away in a wing of the impressive Gothic Revival house, yet you are within a 500-metre stroll of the bustling market town of Crieff. Surrounded by the beautiful Perthshire countryside, and with wonderful walks on the doorstep, this is an ideal base for a couple to enjoy a lovely, relaxing break. The apartment is cosy, stylish and full of character, enhanced by period details such as the exposed stone chimney breast, fine mantelpiece and deep-set windows. Items of attractive vintage furniture, including a mirror above a small sideboard and pine doors add to the charm and homely atmosphere. From the gardens, a flight of steps leads to the private wing and entrance to the spacious open-plan interior. Relax on the comfortable leather sofa in front of the TV and wood burner-effect electric fire after a great day out. If you’re planning a cosy night in, the well-planned kitchen area has all you need to rustle up a delicious meal, along with a dining table for two. A door from the living area leads to a double bedroom, with a wooden bed and soft toned linen with touches of colour in the cushions and throw.
