The house is named for the Hoopoe bird, a frequent visitor to most gardens in Ooty. A distinctive and beautiful bird known for its unique appearance, with a crown of feathers on its head and striking black and white patterns on its wings and body, it has been depicted as a wise and intelligent bird in various cultures and literature. Hoopoe House also reflects our commitment to sustainability.
