We had a wonderful time staying at Southern Comfort 1. Mary Beth was a great host with a surprise welcome basket on arrival. The home was perfect for our 17 people (4 families with lots of kids from 7th grade through college sophomores). The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the views endless. The hardest part about this stay was the driveway - it is a little steep and curvy - which was fine in good weather. The area is wonderful because of the mountains and lake views. Mary Beth went above and beyond as a threat of winter weather approaching issued - she immediately contacted us to let us know the conditions, procedures and possibilities allowing us to make an informed decision on what to do. We would recommend staying at this beautiful home and hope to visit again soon. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Amazing house and host. Beautiful views of the lake. There are some skunks that are moving around at night but they didnt bother us, just kind of putted around investigating stuff.

I don’t even know where to start! The home was very tastefully decorated. It boasted every convenience you could imagine. Top of the line appliances, two kitchens, dishwashers and laundry areas was perfect for our large family. Lake views and balconies galore! The lake view was breath taking and the toys that came with it were awesome! If anything, the property was undersold on amenities!

Could not ask for a more beautiful location and lake. The home was well kept and spacious. The dock was loads of fun. The kids spent every waking minute in the water. Nice hot tub, serene back porches and swing. They had everything a large group could need - 3 fridges, an ice machine, plenty of pots and pans etc. The only issue was sharp objects on the edge of the carpet in the lower level, in a few places. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. We would come back to this house in the future if it worked out. Thanks for a great family vacation!

Mary Beth was a wonderful a helpful host - very responsive and accommodating. The house was perfect for our weekend small group retreat! I highly recommend this home and this host!
