Welcome to our cozy country castle! You'll love this unique and romantic escape, where secluded surroundings let you unwind, escape city life or be inspired to create. Conveniently located off I-45 between Dallas and Houston, our 2 story tower provides every comfort you’ll need for your stay with a king sized bed, large shower, kitchenette, and luxury amenities. Explore our 16 acres, with fire pit, horseshoes, cornhole, gas grill and more. Enjoy farm fresh eggs from our chickens! Our newly remodeled 2 story tower features a kitchenette with *microwave, *2 burner electric stovetop, *coffee maker, *air fryer and *mini fridge. The main bath boasts a large walk-in shower, fluffy towels, and hair dryer. The living/dining area includes a dining table that seats 4 in the bay windows, a coffee bar, ceiling fan, a comfortable futon that seats 3 and can sleep two, and a smart TV with DVD player and movies for entertainment. You’ll also be able to snuggle by a warm electric fireplace! The main bedroom upstairs features a comfortable king size bed with a cooling gel-infused memory foam mattress topper, a ceiling fan, touch lamps with USB ports and electrical outlets for phone charging, an oversized papasan chair, full closet and a half bath. The tower windows provide sweet views of the Texas countryside. Guests are welcome to walk the back acreage of our property (just make sure you have appropriate footwear). We have horseshoes, a fire pit, all the wood you need, cornhole and large spaces to roam. There is a gas grill in the carport if you’d like to do some grilling. There is a picnic table under some trees near the fire pit and seating includes Adirondack chairs and full length logs.

My daughter and I throughly enjoyed the royal treatment at this fabulous castle. The accommodations were peaceful and comfy and had more than we could have asked for. Everything was sparkling clean and safe. The grounds are gorgeous. We really enjoyed the nice bonfire Dave made for us our first night there. My little one was excited to gather eggs from the chicken coop, which made for a delicious breakfast for us! Patty’s garden is very impressive as well! Patty and Dave were incredible hosts. We look forward to visiting again !
It was a beautiful home and property and the hosts were very accommodating. t They purchased a new grill for us to use because their was rusted! They made everything stress free even in awful weather on our departure day. We viewed the eclipse at the property and it was amazing They gave us a filter for our camera and all the Info we needed. I would love to return and stay at the property again. They were real lifesavers when our other reservation fell through.
This was the best experience we’ve had at an airbnb. We always have good experiences, but this stay was amazing. Patricia and her husband are so hospitable and friendly. We were in Mexia for basketball. My wife had left with our daughter the day before I could come down. Check in was perfect for her. The property was unbelievably clean. The fridge was stocked with drinks and the cabinet had snacks, seasonings, food items, etc. we even had fresh eggs and sausage. Unfortunately, I’m the cook in the family and I had to come and go twice after driving down due to our other children’s sporting events, so I didn’t get to take part in the fresh eggs and sausage, sadly. There is a sitting area where the owners allowed our youth basketball team to gather around the fire pit and eat lunch together. We also got to play horseshoes and enjoy the scenery. It is very relaxing and is a great place to just disengage from the craziness of your everyday life and unwind. Thanks for everything!
We had a great stay! Patricia was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed and more. Location was a couple miles down a dirt road but extremely easy to find. Condo was stocked with snacks, drinks and breakfast items for guests to enjoy! We would definitely stay here again!
We absolutely loved this Airbnb, we rented as a stop on the way to a cruise from the port of Galveston It was a lovely place very nice and clean, comfortable bed and a dozen fresh eggs were left for us. Unfortunately, we could not take them with us because we are headed on a cruise … 5 🌟

We are surrounded by natural beauty on our 16+ acres located at the end of the County Road. Nestled into the woods in a peaceful and tranquil setting, we see and hear wildlife and only occasionally hear distant neighbors. The Richland Chambers Reservoir is nearby, and the nearest towns for shopping, eating and entertainment include Wortham (7 miles), Corsicana (14 miles), Mexia (18 miles), Waco (48 miles), and Waxahachie (42 miles). We are 78 miles from DFW airport, and 80 miles from Fort Worth.
To get to our place, from I-45 you will need to take the exit for Highway 14. From the north it is Exit 219A. From the south, it is Exit 218.
Once on Highway 14, turn onto MEMORIAL DRIVE. (This is very important because Maps will take you a wrong way!)
You can easily find Memorial Drive by looking for the Shell gas station and the “Richland Cemetery” sign. After you turn left onto Memorial Drive, (Just past the Shell gas station) you can follow maps to our house and it will bring you here.
Please note that you should follow the same route out when departing.
