Nice place! Very clean, comfortably furnished, and spacious for two. There were some nice little bonuses inside, I try not to get too specific to avoid setting up expectations but they were enjoyable! There was a mix-up with the check-in door code, but Andrew got back to us within about 20 mins with the correction. Pro tips re: temperature when it’s colder: turn on the fireplace / heater earlier in the evening so it has time to warm up the place more broadly (it works well if you do this), and bring a pair of slippers or heavier socks, as the floor can get pretty cool. Location—no surprise here, but it takes about 14 minutes to get to main areas of Courtenay, which ended up feeling a bit long for us given the restaurants, grocery stores, and activities are there; but your reward is the view of the ocean and mountains. The visiting deer and eagles were a fantastic bonus. Beds were comfortable and had lots of warm covers. Overall, a really nice stay, we enjoyed our time here.

Andrew and Jane were super flexible as we arrived late. They even adjusted the lighting timer, so that we did not have to find things in the dark. The appartment is spacious and perfectly equipped with everything you might eventually need, especially in the bathroom. Even though they live in the same house, we did not notice them once - very quiet. The location is great for people enjoying nature and the sea. Very quiet neighboorhood. Also not to far from shopping places and restaurants. Perfect place to stay for a family of four.

We booked Andrew & Jane's place for a Spring Break getaway with our two young children. We initially chose it based on location and the ability to bring pets (although we ended up traveling without our dogs). The suite is lovely, very clean and spacious. It was perfect for our little family. The hosts have put a lot of thought into the details and provided everything you might need. We loved the coffee and the kids were all over the biscuits! Quiet location near a beach and trails in a friendly neighborhood. Lots of storage and a beautiful view. For families - comfy beds are a safe height for children and there is bathtub & laundry. There is some noise transfer between the suites - not an issue for us (the hosts may have enjoyed the sweet sounds of my temperamental two year old) - but something to be aware of. The hosts were very responsive and clear in their communication. We were very pleased that we stumbled across this little gem and would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

We would book with Jane and Andrew again in a heartbeat. Check-in/check-out are simple & easy. The suite is immaculate, beautifully appointed and overlooks the water. We arrived to a welcome note and information regarding local schools. The neighborhood is quiet, a short walk from the beach & there was a family of deer in the front yard in the evenings.
