Built in 1786, the Manoir de Campelobre stands in the heart of its own superb wooded park perched above the beautiful Vallon de Marcillac. Lovingly restored, this majestic family home, with its beautiful pink sandstone facade, will comfortably sleep 2 families or 12 adults allowing you to explore this incredible, undiscovered gem. Whether you love to walk, cycle, kayak or just enjoy sampling the Aveyron’s gastronomic or cultural delights, peace and tranquility await you by your own private pool. The Manoir de Campelobre is a late 18th century Maison de Maitre built in the local pink sandstone typical of the Rouergue area and standing within its own spacious grounds, with a private fenced salt water pool. The house boasts two terrace areas perfect for outdoor dining and entertaining allowing guests to enjoy sunshine or shade throughout their day. Inside the main house there are 3 reception rooms, two on the ground floor comprising of a main dining room/ sitting room area, with comfy sofas by an open fireplace and a large play/games room on the opposite side of the main hallway. A further beautiful light and bright sitting room on the first floor allows guests to enjoy a fabulous view of the valley from three aspects giving it light throughout the day, perfect for a quiet read or one of our fiendish jigsaw puzzles. Each of the five 40m sq bedrooms rooms are accessed from a magnificent central oak staircase (restored in 2003) giving clients ample room for quiet time even when the house is full. 1st floor bedroom, 2 single beds with private bath/seperate shower WC facilities, 2nd floor bedroom 2 single beds with en-suite shower WC and a master bedroom with super king bed and open plan en-suite bath WC and double basins. On the 3rd floor there are two large attic rooms which share a bathroom on the landing below with bath/shower and WC. Alongside the main Manoir the house’s fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and electric oven has been created in a connecting barn conversion accessed from the dining area and keeping many of the original features, such as a traditional Aveyronnais bread oven. Above the kitchen is a further spacious bedroom with a super king bed and en-suite bathroom with bath, seperate shower WC and basin, perfect for those who perhaps do not want too many stairs to their room or wish a little more privacy from the main house. Campelobre is child friendly with a fully fenced pool area however supervision is recommended at all times and the owners cannot be held responsible for any accidents or damage.
