Welcome to Brenwood Vineyards Get-Away, the perfect place to escape, between Mt. Baker & the San Juan Islands, & just up Starry Rd. from the Shuksan Golf Course. Our rental unit is the basement apartment in our home. Walk out in the surrounding acreage, see forests, & our fruit trees, vineyard & garden. Take in the open-country views from our swing, with Mt. Baker, snow-covered year-round. Outdoor activities abound nearby. Share in the quiet, & the feel that you are in your home away from home. We offer both short-term and long-term stays in our 900 sq ft recently renovated spacious 2-BR unit with a queen bed and additional sleeping provided by a queen-size roll-away bed. Study or work in the living room with a roll-top desk. In warm months, enjoy the backyard and use of the grill provided, as well as leisurely walks around our fields, garden and vineyard. A hammock hangs in the trees along the seasonal creek. Entrance is ground-level. Bathroom has grab bars for comfort. In the winter, when it snows, it's fun to go snow-shoeing! Long-term rentals of 30 days or more will sign a lease (required by the State of WA) with the same terms as Airbnb.

This property is in a rural neighborhood about 10 minutes from the Barkley Village shopping area and nearby medical offices. We have an unobstructed view of Mt. Baker from different vantage points, and are surrounded by our neighbors' farms. Shuksan Golf Course is within a mile of our property (you can walk there easily on Starry Rd.), and offers stunning views of both Mt. Baker and the Canadian mountains. You can golf or have drinks and dinner there. By car, we are about 20 minutes from the Canadian border and the same amount of time into downtown Bellingham.
Parking is free on the property. You can drive to Mt. Baker, through the foothills (about a 45 minute drive in the summer to Artist's Point), or to the beaches at Birch Bay and Semiahmoo (25 miinute drive), and throughout the surrounding valleys boasting You-Pick berry farms. Hovander Farm, a historical site, is a local gem, about 15 minutes away. You can also walk on the country roads, down to the Shuksan Golf Course, and on other roads nearby that come off of E. Smith Rd or Axton Ln. To explore Western Washington University's campus,
Bellingham and its harbor and ocean-view hotels or stroll around historic Fairhaven, you will need to drive, but only about 20 - 30 minutes to any of those locations.
