We really enjoyed our stay, especially the braai area on the rooftop. Some parts were a bit outdated with a lot of wear and tear, such as the braai and the alarm. All in all, good value for money

The place was very charming, we just had a few concerns, there is no gate so with a dog, it’s hard to let her out to roam as the neighbors had lots of dogs that could’ve easily come into the yard. The windows in the main bedroom didn’t seem to open, there was dirt and visible stains on the kitchen floor, spider webs in the sitting room drawers and the braai area was really filthy. It felt like they didn’t have time to clean before we arrived and after the last guest arrived, but we also checked in very late so we feel a plan could be made. We came with a baby and were hoping for more roaming space on the floor but it just didn’t feel too clean. Otherwise, very centrally located, walking distance to just about everything and very kind host.

Nice place but location isn’t what you expect when you get to Paternoster. Villa is in the rural sides of the town.

We enjoyed staying at the beach house for two nights. It was simple, a bit outdated, and clean. The location is great for walking to the beach or restaurants. The upstairs patio is good for Braai but would be great to have comfier furniture up there. The house was a bit of a letdown in a few areas— instructions for alarm and garage weren’t clear at first, and WiFi password was not listed anywhere so we had to spend a lot of our data the first night in order to get work done until they responded around 11am the next day. The place is also self catering which is understood but there wasn’t even salt or pepper, so I recommend buying/ bringing absolutely everything if you’re cooking. This listing is owned by a property rental company and they do communicate decently but not up to standards of what you’d hope for — I think the issue is that they may not check Airbnb messages much which could be an area for improvement. Overall not a bad spot but could be improved or price lowered.
