Do you want to get away from it all? Do you need a technology detox? Do you want to sit in front of a log burning stove have a glass of wine and read, talk to your partner and play scrabble Getting back to basics sometimes is heaven. That’s how we felt when we visited the hide. We had rain but With the deck outside I’m sure it would be equally as good on a sunny day. There are lots of books, board games and plenty of places to walk. We were greeted with the sight of Red deer just metres away at Dawn and dusk as the hide is situated at the edge of Glenveagh National Park. On your way to the hide I recommend you do the wild Atlantic way. Visit the national park, walk bunbeg beach, call at anachrey there is a hotel overlooking the bay that serves the best scampi (was recommended to us). Once we parked up for the two nights we stayed put and walked the national park trail. On the way home, visited the Maghera beach and huge waterfall. Don’t visit if your life revolves around tech

Like all the other reviews for the Hide, our stay here was perfect. Everything about our stay we loved, the nature, the cabin, the log fire, the lovely playlist already thought out and ready to play during your stay there, the beautiful starry sky at night, the animals, the views. It was a haven and we can't wait to go back.

Pete and Anna were easily contactable during booking The Hide, and gave us a very friendly welcome on arrival. Anna also offered suggestions for places to visit in the local area. The Hide is small and self contained with everything that is required for a few days away, and has great views over the landscape. Very peaceful, and is in a great location for touring the locality in the Gaeltacht region of Donegal.
