It was a great place to stay while in town for a wedding! Jessica was a fantastic host!
So cute and cozy! We stayed here the night before my graduation and it was such an easy drive to Waco. The location was great, and the house was exactly as pictured. Jessica was so responsive and helpful! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a cute place in Hillsboro or Waco!

We went to Hillsboro for the eclipse and we were not disappointed. Jessica's house was in a good location for the events. She was helpful and responded quickly to our questions. Jessica is a great host who made us feel welcome. If we go to Hillsboro again, we would definitely stay there again.
The home sits in the Hillsboro Residential Historic District, a neighborhood that spans an area bounded by Country Club Road, Thompson, Corsicana, Pleasant, Franklin and Elm Streets. The District is home to a number of pre-1900 buildings that have been preserved by the Hillsboro Historic Preservation, Heritage League, City, and others.
The district is known for its eclectic mix of period-styled houses, mostly dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, which brings considerable variety to the area.
The largest of the many Queen Anne houses in this district was built by attorney, businessman, and real estate developer G. D. Tarlton at 211 N. Pleasant Street. Built in 1895, it features a cross-gable roof, a wraparound porch, and a square tower with a pyramidal roof.
Some of other prominent houses in the District are:
The Johnson-Thompson House at 106 Corsicana Street, built in 1896. This is another Queen Anne house, with a corner tower, a bell-curve roof, and classical colonnettes supporting the porch.
The Will Bond House at 313 Craig Street, built around 1900. This is a Colonial Revival house, with a double gallery, full-height columns, and a corner wraparound porch.
You can find more information about the Hillsboro Residential Historic District and other historic places in Hillsboro on the Explore Hillsboro Texas website.
Hillsboro does not offer public transportation, but this home is a 3 minute drive from Downtown (0.9 miles).
