Take a break and unwind at this peaceful camping cabin. Enjoy our beautiful 600-acre campus with more than 10 miles of private hiking trails, 4 lakes, canoes, 4 miles of riverfront trails, beautiful oak forests with a legendary 200-year-old tree. The cabin is a one room space with 5 bunk beds and simple camping mattresses. You must bring your own linen or sleeping bags. It's a nice place for someone who wants to spend some time in nature, walking on miles of trails or canoeing on our small lakes.

very nice cabin comfortable extremely updated compared to other cabins i've stayed in with the same layout
The cabin we stayed in was very clean. Recent painting of the cabin had it looking quite pristine. We got a little warm in the cabin as the weather for our stay was unseasonably warm. However, there was an A/C in the cabin that we put in place in one of the windows and it almost immediately cooled the place down to a comfortable temperature. So many private, peaceful, scenic walking trails on the Hartland property. We had a great time exploring the campus and meeting friendly people. Also, the nearby towns of Orange and Culpeper were enjoyable trips. Take the backroads to these towns and you'll see some fascinating places.

We are located in a peaceful rural setting 10 minutes from historical and colonial town such as Orange, Gordonsville and Culpeper and civil war sites such as Manassas National Battlefield Park. Located 15 minutes from Montpelier, the home to President James Madison father of the constitution, and 50 minutes from Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. We are 45 minutes from Shenandoah National Park, 45 minutes from Lake Ana State Park and 90 minutes from the Washington D.C. National Mall.
There is lots of free parking space available on our campus. As you drive off our main campus road, Hartland Oak Drive, you make a right onto Rt 614 and 1.5 miles later you will reach Highway 15. Highway 15 South takes you to Orange, the nearest historical town that is just 12 minutes driving distance. Highway 15 North takes you to historic town Culpeper. Highway 15 South, 230, 29 South takes you to Charlottesville.
