Came for the Newport Music Festival and had a ball! The location could not have been more convenient, just a stone’s throw from the festival or a boat ride to downtown sites.

This place was such a beautiful relaxing amazing experience! I did not want to leave. Danielle was very helpful and explained everything perfectly and made our experience wonderful. She paid attention to so much detail in the decor to make it very welcoming. Sunrise was amazing and breathtaking . Best vacation ever !! Worth every penny !!

The houseboat is in a lovely spot, and the view is not to be beat. The roof top’s chairs and chaises are comfortable and give a 360 degree view of the area. Bring sunscreen! There is much to like here. Danielle welcomed us onto the boat and fixed anything we needed promptly. Great communicator. She let us know when a storm was rolling in. It was a treat to watch the storm from inside the boat. The boat itself is filled with light and we did not feel crowded at all (two of us). We took off a star because the appliances are old and there is room for improvement in the cushions and linens. It would be nice to have better curtains on the sliders for privacy as well as a new shower head. That said, if you considering this houseboat as camping on the water and come prepared, it’s a pretty cool experience. Bring plenty of water and hand wipes. Take notes during Danielle’s orientation. Plan to unplug. The Old Port Ferry staff are great and will bring you ice and run on a pretty tightly scheduled shuttle service. We got to know many boats in the area and it’s fun to see them up close from the ferry. Recommend Mamma Luisa’s restaurant for a delicious homemade Italian dinner treat in Newport on Thames Street as well as watching the glassblower across the street from the restaurant. Also The Black Pearl for brunch. We couldn’t get into The Elms’ Servants Quarters tour but will plan that for next time along with an America’s cup sail. Thanks for your hospitality Danielle!

We had the most amazing stay on the Lilypad! Would highly recommend! Great location and a great boat! Danielle was an awesome host!
