Perched above the shores of Loch Ness, Bunloit Farmhouse provides an enchanting Highland escape. As you enter the cottage, you’ll find the spacious living and kitchen areas to the right, both with wood-burning stoves and loch views. On the left is a twin bedroom providing another fantastic vista across Loch Ness. Upstairs a double and single room greet you, sure to provide a peaceful night’s sleep. There are bathrooms on both floors of the property. The Farmhouse is surrounded by Bunloit Estate, a nature restoration site. As a guest here, you can book an exclusive site tour (email to enquire), or explore the ample nature on the doorstep all by yourself. Despite the wild feel, most essential services are available in the village of Drumnadrochit (3.7 miles), and more still in Inverness (19.5 miles). Activities in the area are plentiful. Lovely old Farmhouse looking over Loch Ness with amazing views. Loads of wildlife on offer and a decent sized garden which is completely enclosed.
The cottage is in a stunning location with breathtaking views. It’s a really peaceful setting but great for exploring Loch Ness and the surrounding area.

Amazing location with so much space and privacy. The cottage is very cosy and kitted out, perfect place to enjoy the Highlands!
We had a fantastic stay at the Bunloit Farmhouse! The instructions to get in were clear and we found a very helpful handbook telling us about the ins and outs of the house. The place was very clean and the house had everything we could ask for - from kitchen utensils, tea, salt and pepper, to complimentary milk in the fridge and locally made cakes! I was particularly impressed by how warm the house would get using the radiators in individual rooms so this was a very pleasant stay on all ends. The only thing I would mark down was communication - I reached out to the host a few days prior to our stay about the kitchen utensils and what to expect and I never received a response. Thankfully, the kitchen had everything we'd want and the shops were a 10-minute drive to Drumnadrochit, making it easy to pop for food when needed. In terms of activities, I would recommend: walking around the area, visiting the Pottery shop at the end of the Great Glen Way, and of course, the Urquhart Castle!
