For an intimate and revitalising stay, experience the tranquillity of Bottero's Camp.Bottero’s forms part of Sandfields and Forests nature reserve on the Nyl floodplain, a wetland of international importance. The area is known for its great birding. Set in indigenous woodland near a unique rocky outcrop, the off-grid cottage is fully kitted with an open plan kitchen and cosy lounge area with an indoor fireplace. The two bedroom en suite cottage has a large patio with comfortable outdoor furniture, a braai area, hammock and pool.

The house and space are so relaxing and Caroline was a super host, showing us around the property and giving us tips to explore more on our own. We really enjoyed sitting outside and soaking in the sounds of nature
The place has everything you need for a relaxing stay in the bush. Well worth a visit.
Had a wonderful stay at Bottero house in Sandfields and Forests private reserve! We were looking for a nice place in the bush, close to the city, where we could just relax and enjoy the outdoors with the kids. Brian and Caroline's place was perfect! A large game reserve with plenty of animals and variety of landscapes. The house was secluded in the bush and had everything we needed. Will definitely be back. Thanks Caroline and Brian!
We stayed at Bottero’s Camp - a really special experience ; great game drive , wonderful walks and lovely pool to cool off ; the stoep ( veranda ) is a marvellous space to relax , especially at night with a barbeque going. Definitely a place to return to.
What a wonderful farm! We had a great time at Sandfields. Wonderful for birders as it is close to Nylsvley Nature Reserve. Brian and Caroline are great hosts and the farm personnel are all very friendly. Felt super safe throughout our stay. The road was just-just doable with our polo. A higher vehicle would be better, but it's not impossible without one.

Sandfields has good accessibility onto its expansive floodplain and offers
gameviewers for hire for self-drive (at an additional cost) in addition to Kahuna (Hawaiian) massage options.
Nylslvley Nature Reserve is our southern neighbour and has bird hides. Guests must check in at reception, pay a small fee and get a gate code to access the bird hides.
Euphoria Golf and Lifestyle Estates is a short drive away with golfing and a water world for kids.
Fumani Game Reserve has a four star restaurant and is about a 20 minutes drive away.
Adventures with Elephants is the most popular attraction in the Bela Bela area (Warmbaths) adjacent to Zebula Golf Estate and Spa where visitors can interact with elephant.
There is a crocodile and reptile farm called Bouncy Croc in the Waterberg about an hour's drive away.
Makapan's Gat (caves and museum) is an hour's drive away.
