Apartment clean, lacked kitchen utensils

Last minute personal circumstances meant that we were unable to make this trip HOWEVER I wanted to leave a review as Richie’s communications, compassion, thoughtfulness and support made the world of difference. His will be the first place we book when we look to stay in the area again due to this. Ahead of our cancellation we received clear and helpful information about the property as well as additional information about the facilities. The whole process was smooth and we are looking forward to staying soon.

Location is good and the bathroom in particular is very nice. The place was poorly equipped though in terms of day-to-day essentials. The kitchen in particular barely had anything in it (plates, bowls, kitchen utensils etc), to the point where you may as well not have had a kitchen at all.

Great location - easy access to restaurants & the tube; responsive host. Still, it's rather far from "Lux" & could really use some upgrades. Other reviews say it's clean, but food scraps in the sink & a dirty dish towel on the counter didn't instill confidence. Other less than lux features: kitchen wasn't very well equipped (old sponges, watered down dish soap; dirty plastic "glasses"; limited utensils); just one fitted sheet for 2 (soft) beds (The other bed? A flat sheet covering the mattress that was too small to tuck in), and no appliance instructions. (Heat wasn't on when we arrived at 10pm, so Richie wasn't reachable [understandably so], but w/out instructions, our first night was less than cozy). Bathroom was nice, but no matter how we adjusted the shower "door", water got everywhere (hint: put towels on the floor & hang them to dry during the day.) Amenities list says there's a coffee maker; there isn't. You're paying for location, which is great, but it's definitely not lux.
