A clean comfortable cabin on Alexander Lake, in Galena Alaska. Quiet location where you can occasionally watch a float plane take off and land! This is Rural Alaska, with all its character. It is clean and quiet and off the main roadways. Guests will need to sign a rental agreement before staying with us, assuring they will care for the property and follow the house rules. There is a main cabin, with one double bed and a bunkhouse cabin nearby with bunkbeds

Great place to stay in galena! We will definitely be back again!
Glad to have had this place to stay at while on a work trip in Galena. Definitely be aware it's rustic: lots of mosquitoes, outhouse, separate shower building, no running water, etc. Was everything we needed, though, and the hosts are awesome!
Beautiful location and a very short walk to the clinic in town.
Sandy and Brads place was perfect. It is a little rustic but they were up front about that. Very clean with everything you could use. I would definitely stay again next time I am in town. Waking up to the view of the water was spectacular.
Clean, comfortable, private and hosts very respectful of the people lodging in their cabin/b&b. Vehicle rental was available and reasonably priced. B&B has Wi-Fi, cable TV, hot showers and tasty drinking water. All of which are invaluable accommodations in a rural community!

My husband and I met in South America, I moved to Alaska in 1994 and our adventures have continued to this day. We built this place while living in a tent on the property in 1999. We got married (on the property) during the summer of construction and lived here for 4 years. We moved across the state for work in an even more remote place, but our hearts still live here! We maintain close relationships with the great folks in Gakona! We have never rented this to tourists before, but as travelers and adventurers ourselves, we know this is an outstanding place to base your Alaskan adventures from! The Denali Highway, Wrangell St. Elias National park, McCarthy, and Valdez are all destinations you can reach while staying at our place.
