Within walking distance of the Royal Canal Greenway, a quick ten minute drive from Center Parcs and its award winning day spa, and surrounded by the lakes of Irish folklore, the house offers easy access to Ireland's historic sites, towns and picturesque villages. Nestled amidst the lush Irish countryside, this charming stone farmhouse stands proudly on a picturesque stud farm, overlooking the meandering river Inny. This two-story home is a quintessential blend of rustic elegance and rural charm. Once derelict, we transformed and expanded it to accommodate our growing family, resulting in roomy, charming spaces ideal for gatherings, hosting, and enjoyment. There are large doors opening from each side of the house onto patios and garden areas perfect for relaxing, eating or watching the sun set in the West over Galway and the Atlantic ocean - perhaps with a glass of our homemade apple juice made from the Irish Heritage variety apples grown in our orchard, and now found waiting in the pantry. The wood burner in the sitting room provides the perfect cosy warm up before sharing dinner around the huge dining table. As a family, we cherish the outdoors and encourage you to explore the stunning riverbanks of our farm. Here you can discover the diverse wildlife we've been fortunate to witness throughout the years. Swans, herons, cranes, otters, and mink, along with the largest gathering of kingfishers in Ireland, coexist harmoniously with our horses, children, canoes, and barbecues.
