Totties cottage is a wonderful find. A real gem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and wish we could have stayed longer. Julie and Phil were great hosts, were available to questions and requests at all times. Our request to check out one hour later was granted without further ado. The location of the cottage is perfect to explore the northern NC 500 and being situated in a rural area makes it an extra special place to relax. We loved the way Julie and Phil renovated and decorated the old stone cottage. One can feel the love and devotion that must have gone into this project with the attention to details. The Bed was super comfortable and with the quiet surroundings a good night sleep is guaranteed. It was also wonderful to find the fire ready to be lit in the woodstove on the cold and blustery day we arrived. We have stayed in many airbnbs and rarely had a cottage as well equipped as this one. FANTASTIC COTTAGE! And hosts. Julie was super helpful leading up to our stay. We are currently on the NC500 in our camper for 5 weeks and needed comfy bed, hot shower and a nice sofa to relax on for a couple of days and we got exactly that. Found the cottage easily in Brough, on arrival the cottage was spotless and everything looks so new. Full kitchen so I was able to cook a roast dinner on our first night there. There is a Tesco and Lidl in Thurso. Comfortable bed with some complimentary slippers a really thoughtful touch. We had our dog Effie with us and Julie had left a doggy towel and treats for her which was so kind. Tea bags, milk and sugar which was very thoughtful also. Highly recommend would definitely stay here again. Julie and her husband were also super helpful when we needed a new window wiper and they gave us directions and help of where to buy a new one. Thanks so much xx

We just returned home from staying at Totties Cottage and it was by far one of the best Airbnb venues we have stayed in so far. Julie and Phil made our stay so welcome and made sure we had all we needed, we were even offered a later checkout which was perfect! Totties Cottage is located in such a peaceful location which was soo easy to find and the cottage really did have all the items you need for a break away from home. Thank you so much for letting us stay and hopefully we will be back soon to stay again :)

Wow! What a fantastic stay. The cottage was absolutely stunning and is finished to such a high spec. You can tell there has been so much care and attention to detail that has been put into Tottie’s cottage. Before we arrived and Julie had put the lights on as it was dark when we arrived. There were little touches like milk in the fridge and Scottish produce to taste! The cottage was immaculate inside, as was the bed linen and towels. The cleanliness of the cottage was second to none.. The kitchen is fully equipped so made it very easy to cook our evening meals. This cottage is a hidden gem! It is close to Thurso and John O Groats as well Dunnet head and the beautiful Dunnet beach. A little bit of luxury tucked away at the top of Scotland. We will definitely be booking another trip!
