Ray was an excellent host -- clear instructions and pics how to get to the place -- the unit is in a very old building but fully equipped inside -- one of us had a wrist bruise, and he offered us an ice pack. We opened the windows through the night and heard absolutely nothing most of the night. It's about 8km out of town in a beautiful area -- we heard owls at night in the peaceful forest. The connecting road is not insanely narrow like some other AirBnB's in rural Italy we stayed at. Highly recommend.

La Cassa della Musica is full of character and history. Ray’s house is spacious and there is a terrace for meals and a garden for reading, relaxation and contemplation. In this small Tuscany village there are hiking routes from the house into the mountains and the village trattoria is a must. This is not an all mod cons rental, but if you are looking to totally disconnect then don’t hesitate (the description is accurate and the Wi-Fi works, so you're not totally disconnected - it's up to you!). Ray lives next door with his dog and two cats but he is discrete, welcoming and helpful. We spent two pleasant and relaxing weeks here.

De gastheer was zeer vriendelijk, het huisje ligt in een mooie omgeving en is zeer authentiek. Zeer geschikt als je rust zoekt en niet van overdreven luxe houdt. Fantastisch uitzicht. Lieve vriendelijke hond en twee poezen. We voelden ons er thuis, we reisden met 2 kinderen (16 en 12) en 2 volwassenen. Omgeving net wat groener dan de Toscaanse valleien. De ijssalon Gelateria Ghignoni is een must, vooral het pistache ijs! We hadden een hele fijne, ontspannen vakantie met een zeer vriendelijke gastheer. Zeker een grote aanrader!

If you want a peaceful relaxed holiday in a rustic 12th century house this is for you. Beautiful bush land area, quiet, with fresh natural streams. Ideal for walks in lovely setting. If you want luxuries this is not for you, it’s a rustic experience, living in a house like this. Ray was on the spot and more than helpful. Thanks we all enjoyed it.

The Airbnb of Ray is in a really peaceful surrounding with beautiful garden and lots of nature. The sound of the nearby small „river“ is fantastic. The interior of the flat is very original and special. It could use maybe a little bit of an update in regard to electricity and silicone joints. If I have the chance to come back, I would be very lucky.
