Our group of 8 adults had a wonderful stay at Cedar Ledge. The house is not over-promised: It is a family’s home. Furnishings and appliances are older; well used, functional, comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms are small and clean. Plenty of space to gather, isolate, play cards, cook a group dinner, or just gaze at the spectacular view. The house is modest, but the location is luxurious. The property is surrounded by Acadia National Park. Beautiful forest and seashore trails right outside the door. Our days were spent exploring the park: Cadillac Mountain, Jordan Pond (try popovers at the restaurant), and moderate trail hikes. We were there mid-October while leaves were approaching peak color, and the popular sites/hikes were crowded, so our plans changed on the fly. We got our park passes and vehicle reservations for Cadillac Mountain during our stay; plan ahead in summer.

Stunning views and great location on the coast. Short walk to the beautiful beach. Porches provided a great outdoor haven. Charmingly rustic and secluded. Family of deer visited us each morning.

the home and surrounding property were absolutely beautiful. the location is great, feels a little remote but is still near everything. two of the three showers were rather narrow, was not an issue but could be for some. would definitely stay here again if we come back.

Beautiful place to spend a week! The views from the back looking out into the harbor were awesome to wake up to and go to bed at night with! Such a private, peaceful, setting as well. The house is lived in, not pristine, but very accommodating. This was close enough to town to walk to if he felt like he could walk. Not only were you next to Acadia park but you felt like you lived in a park while there.

Wonderful week spent at Cedar Lodge! This is a beautiful, rustic home minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. Sharon was extremely easy to get a hold of as well.
