Ian and Fiona are fantastic hosts. A lovely place to stay in a great location. They are both immensely friendly and welcoming with lots of local knowledge and can recommend walks and places to eat. Bamford is well connected for car -free exploration and this is a great base for a solo traveller as well as couples!

Had a wonderful stay with Ian and Fiona! The room and bathroom were in their own part of the house so we were never disturbed, and the surroundings were truly peaceful and beautiful. The hosts provided us with really a good breakfast every day, as well as plenty of recommendations for walks around the area (there is plenty to see such as Bamford Edge and Ladybower reservoir, directly within walking distance of the house). Ian even went as far as providing us with raincoats and a rucksack, and driving us to a nearby town for our Mam Tor hike, which was really appreciated. The village is quite small and doesn't have too many food options if you don't have a car, but we were happy getting lunch at the local bakery and ordering delivery (there is also a convenience store by the train station). Overall fantastic stay, would come again!

I had a lovely stay at Ian and Fiona’s house. Great location, comfortable room, nice breakfast, and the bath was amazing after my running race!

Ian and Fiona gave us a warm, thoughtful and attentive welcome without at any time being intrusive. Attention to detail and the quality of accommodation along with amazing breakfasts made for a great stay.

An ideal place to stay in the Peaks, close to the village centre, local walks and main roads. Easy parking in driveway. A very comfortable home with a spacious bathroom and an excellent breakfast. Ian and Fiona provided an extremely warm welcome, very willing to cater for particular dietary needs and helpful with local information. I would highly recommend their home.
