NEW LISTING. Great for Keeneland. Short walk to the eclectic downtown Midway and all its restaurants and specialty shops or walk out the back door and take your very own walking path to the Walter Bradley Park (see photos for Park and park map) which lead to several walking trails meandering along Lees Branch Creek. Relax on the large screened-in porch in the evening or make a fire in the great room. You will be pleasantly surprised when you step into this 1880’s restored railroad homestead. The front part of the house is the original railroad home of the 1880’s that serves as the living room (has sofa bed) with a loft. (Note: the loft is currently used for storage but will be accessible in the near future). The mid part of the house is 1930’s space that has been completely redone in 2016 and contains dining area, full size kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 modern baths and laundry room. The rear part is a large family room (library) with fireplace (seasonal) that opens to a screened porch. Although it can accommodate 6 guests when you include the sofa bed, it is best suited for 4 guests with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.

This is a wonderful property that helps you feel like you’re far away from it all, yet in reality, you have the option of taking a nature walk, or a stroll downtown for shopping or dining. The home is quiet, great for reading a book or two either inside or on the screened in porch. The full kitchen was pre-stocked with snacks and refreshing beverages, and lended itself to be a great gathering spot for us. I have friends and work in the area, and I hope to be a repeat visitor to Tammy’s place in Midway! Highly recommended!

What an amazing place. I can’t say enough good things about this home and location. From all of the trinkets and things that we could spend hours looking at and still not appreciate. To the screened in back porch with a swing and lights. Tammy had many extra amenities available in case you forgot anything. Great location to walk to many restaurants and shops. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again
Place was as adverised. Especially like the back porch and access tobthe trails by the river. Easy walk to the town area for restaurants and stores

Once you have parked and unloaded the car, you might not need that car for a while. Walk out the front door and up the hill you will see some steps and a path that take you to the middle of downtown Midway and a number of great restaurants. Walk out the back door and take the path to Walter Bradly Park for a stroll through the woods. Lexington might be the self proclaimed horse capital of the world but Midway is the Thoroughbred capital of the world. Take a road trip down Old Frankfort, stop at Wallace Station for some catfish and a beer, or if you are looking for something on the swell side visit Holly Hill Inn for dinner.
There is plenty of parking usually around town unless there is special event but if you going to downtown Midway, walking will be faster as you literally won’t be able to get any closer than the place you are staying.
