Centrally located just outside of Columbia Falls on US Hwy 2 East. This makes us really easy to find. Glacier International Airport is less than 15 Minutes away. The West Glacier Entrance is only 15 minutes away. Downtown Columbia Falls is 5 minutes away, where you can find everything you need. Whitefish, a ski resort town is less than 15 minutes away. Flathead lake, the largest natural fresh water lake west of the Mississippi river is 35 minutes away.
Right from your doorstep at Fort Williamson you can take a leisurely hike through the woods to the Flathead River. It's takes about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the river.
Directly out your front door is Columbia Mountain and the trail head for this trail is across the highway at the base of the mountain.

There is not a lot of public transportation options around here. Everything in Montana is pretty spread out. It is best to rent a car for your stay. Also just as an FYI rental cars here in the summer months are usually in high demand just like lodging, so this is why in addition to our Airbnb lodging we also have a car rental company, Glacier Specialty Car Rentals. We provide Rental Cars at discounted rates for our Guests. When you book both a cabin and car with us we will provide a complimentary shuttle service that can pick you up at the Glacier Airport or West Glacier Train Station and bring you to your Cabin and Car. At the end of your trip you will return the car to us and we will provide a shuttle service to shuttle you back for your departure. Fort Williamson is located just 15 minutes from the West Glacier entrance, 15 minutes from Glacier International Airport, and is only minutes from downtown Columbia Falls, MT.
