The owners have taken great care to retain the architectural integrity of the building, maintaining original features such as the intricately tiled floors of the ground floor, and the painted beams of the upper floors. The cool, bright interiors and comfortable yet stylish furniture throughout ensure a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. No stone has been left unturned in the owner’s quest to make your stay a most comfortable one, including a fully equipped summer kitchen bordering the swimming pool, encouraging the greatest enjoyment of both the local cuisine and outdoor living. Just a short distance from the house you will find the village of Mirandol-Bourgnounac (3km), home to a small range of shops for essentials as well as a couple of restaurants. Carmaux (12km) provides further shopping options including a lively traditional Friday market and slightly further afield the unique regional capital Albi (30km), a UNESCO World Heritage site, is home to not only a wide range of shops and restaurants, but also a magnificent cathedral and the Toulouse Lautrec museum: a must for art lovers. Sports & Activities
Canoeing & Rafting - Popular on the Aveyron river; you can be wafted downstream by the current and get picked up and returned to Najac by road. Also possible at Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val.
Cap'Découverte - At le Garric, discover 250 acres of wilderness with a multitude of sports and leisure activities: skate-park, giant zip line, paintball, karting, water sports, as well as more gentle activities such as crazy golf, pétanque and a swimming pool with water games.
Gaillac - Famous for the wine produced from the vineyards in the area, one of the oldest wine producing regions in France, dating back to the 10th century. Visit the tourist office in Gaillac to pick up more information about the wine and the map for the Route de Vin.
Albi - UNESCO World heritage, on the banks of the Tarn river, the old city of Albi reflects the culmination of a medieval architectural and urban ensemble.
