The area Lyngså is situated just 10 km south of Sæby, an ideal area for the family who whises peaceful surroundings with a child-friendly beach and still close to activities and sights. Sæby has many supermarkets and the pedestrian streets and the harbor have a lot of shops and restaurants. In the old part of town around Algade, Fiskerstien and the harbor, the old beautiful houses are picturesque. Here in this area you will also find several danish craftsmen with shops and workshops showing glass- and clay art etc. An 18-hole golf course and Sæbygaard Castle are situated in the outskirts of Sæby, and well worth a visit. Ten kilometers north of Sæby is Frederikshavn with a palm beach (during the summer months), Botanical Garden and the Gunpowder Tower. If you drive all the way to Skagen, the Grey Light tower can give you a good idea about the life of the birds and Grenen, the very top of Denmark is also worth a visit.
