Outside you will find a carport for the car, lovely garden with lawn and beautiful terrace with garden furniture, two sun loungers and a barbecue. From the holiday home you only have 350 meters to a child-friendly beach and a short distance to shopping in Aalbæk town. The cozy 83 m2 are distributed on one level and the house (inside and out) is clad with wood. The holiday home has three lovely bedrooms. Two with a double bed and the third with a bunk bed. Smart kitchen niche with all modern facilities and large living room with wood burning stove. Lovely dining area and wonderful living room with cozy sofa corner and TV. From the living room you have direct access to the terrace. The bathroom has a shower and a washing machine at your disposal. In the holiday home, one of the walls is decorated with an embroidery - a piece of history - and we receive a lot of questions about it. It is a so-called Kapitulationstæppe (Capitulation rug), which belongs to the homeowner's father. It was made by Louise Puck after the war, as a reminder of the occupation (all black) and the liberation on May 5th - the German capitulation. Similar embroideries have hung in many Danish homes in the past. At the National Museum, they have 20 different ones with reference to and from different places in Denmark. PLACES TO VISIT IN THE AREA: A short distance from the holiday home you will find Farm Fun, one of the area's best playgrounds for both big and small. Also visit Råbjerg Mile, Denmark's largest hiking dune, or go on an excursion to the North Sea Oceanarium in Hirtshals, where you can experience lots of sea animals and playful seals. The Eagle Santuary in Tversted is also worth a visit. Here you can learn more about the large birds of prey and experience them up close. A visit to Skagen should also be on your holiday bucket list. Grenen, Denmark's outermost tip, where the two seas Kattegat and Skagerrak meet, is of course a MUST. Treat yourselves to a ride with "Sandormen" (tractor with wagon), it will be one of the highlights of the day. At Kystmuseet (the Coastal Museum) and at Den Tilsandede Kirke (the Sanded Church), you can learn more about how life was in Skagen many years ago. Listen and read i.a. the serious and exciting stories of the sand drift in the area. End the day with a large ice cream from one of Skagen's many ice cream parlors. Just opposite Vandtårnet (the Water Tower) in Østerby you will find Bamsemuseet (the Teddy Bear Museum) and next to it Iscafeen (ice scream cafe). In Gl. Skagen you can also enjoy an ice cream bought in Solnedgangskiosken (the Sunset Kiosk) at Solnedgangspladsen (the sunset square). PETS: Pets not allowed. GOOD TO KNOW: No rentals for youth groups.
