I did not stay in Germinge's apartment, the host cancelled the reservation after he told me I can get an Uber to travel to the location. The night prior I contacted the host about the check in process and he asked me to check in 1 hour later than the time advertised on the reservation and that was not a problem. If I had showed up on the advertised time I do not think the apartment would be available. The day I was supposed to check in the host messaged asking me to let him know when I am on the way. I told him we would arrive in 30 minutes. After 15 minutes on the road he messaged saying he had to cancel. I was highly upset, as an international visitor with no ties to the area or country that I’m supposed to do and it’s in the afternoon and it’s not easy finding a place the day I am due to check in.
