Set at the top of a large Victorian villa, this cosy and spacious second-floor apartment is perfect for a family looking to discover the popular seaside town of Swanage. Located on the hill leading from the town to Durlston Country Park (1 mile away), the property offers far-reaching sea views and makes a fantastic holiday base for exploring the Purbeck area of Dorset. Eight steps lead you into the shared hall, and the apartment is accessed via four flights of stairs. On entering this single-level getaway you will find yourself in the stylishly designed and attractively furnished open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has views over the town and toward Swanage Bay. With plenty of seating, TV and an iPod dock, the lounge is a perfect space for relaxing in at the end of a great day. You can enjoy a favourite meal in the charming dining area, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need. You will also find two comfortable bedrooms: a double and a twin, as well as a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The bustling seaside town of Swanage has a host of great places to eat and drink, as well as a long sandy beach, a traditional promenade and a Victorian-era pier. Local attractions include Peveril Point, Durlston Bay and the Prince Albert Gardens (all within half a mile) as well as Ballard Down (2 miles) and Old Harry Rocks (4 miles). There are thriving towns nearby including Wareham (11.5 miles) and Corfe Castle (6 miles), or you could explore the nature reserves of Hartland Moor (8.5 miles) and Studland and Godlingston Heath (5 miles). Heading west along the coast you can visit Kimmeridge Bay (11.5 miles) and Chapman’s Pool (6 miles), or you could head north to explore the beautiful Brownsea Island (7 miles).
