Our no-frills rental is the perfect laid-back spot to chill after a day of FL adventuring! Close to the beach, Jonathan Dickenson State Park, coffee & juice shops, and walkable to everything else! Enjoy FL living in our 1/1 home. As avid beach/water people, Hobe Sound is very special to us - the first beach we surfed in FL! This is a no-frills, clean, newly refreshed home. Please enjoy this 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home, with a full kitchen, dining area, living room, front patio, and a magnificent outdoor shower! The Surf Shack is centrally located just off bridge road and within stumbling distance of Harry and The Natives. You are super close to coffee shops, a juice bar, Publix, Hobe Sound Public Beach, Jonathan Dickenson State Park, nearby state recreation parks, and the shops on Bridge Road. Our neighborhood is a small quiet community of families. Laid-back travelers will enjoy living with the essentials in our space. It's important to note that our neighborhood embodies diversity and inclusion. While some may not be familiar with the neighborhood's cultural significance, we invite travelers who value diverse, authentic communities to embrace this home. We're committed to tolerance, respect, and appreciation for all backgrounds. If your travel preferences differ, we kindly suggest exploring alternative options. We’ve been Airbnb hosts for many years with different listings, and this is our first in FL. Should you be interested in renting the full home - please inquire - the entire unit has 3 beds and 2 baths. For now, it's been split into 2 Airbnb listings. Our family lovingly refers to this home as the Surf Shack - and it's always Easy Living here

I booked this property last minute on a work trip and Emily was wonderful getting the place ready for me on short notice. Very clean, plenty of space to unwind, and close to the beach or anything else you’ll need while you stay here. I love outdoor showers as well so it worked out perfect. Wonderful all around!
Cozy place to stay for the night as a couple. Kitchen very well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans.
Impeccably clean, and generally very quiet. The outdoor shower was nice, but still wanted to mention it since some people may not pay attention to the details of the listing before booking. They have a neighbor that blasts hip-hop music from their car so loud every time they come and go, so as lovely as the space was, I probably wouldn’t book if I planned to stay in and work/study. Their music is so loud that it woke me up from the opposite side of the house and then about once every hour it would happen again. They would leave it blaring for about a minute which feels like an eternity when you have to stop what you’re doing. It is definitely not an OEM speaker system, as you could hear the car windows shaking. Also wasn’t a huge fan of smelling weed when I walked to and from my car, but not the end of the world. Nights were quiet though so if I needed a place to sleep and I planned to be out during the day, I would book again.
Hobe Sound is such a peaceful and natural area away from the crowded busy cities. We were close to town and just a short drive to the ocean. At first I was a little skeptical of the outdoor shower, there is no need to be! It is amazing and the fresh air is so refreshing. It is very private and very clean with a perfect design. I wish I had one! The bed was soft, and the furniture in the living room was comfortable with plenty of room for us both to spread out. This place was exactly what we needed for our couple-night stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Banner Lake is a historic neighborhood located in Hobe Sound, Florida. The neighborhood is situated just a few minutes from the beach and is centrally located in the heart of Hobe Sound. Despite its small size, Banner Lake has a strong sense of community, with residents often gathering for neighborhood events and social gatherings. Our neighbors are quiet and friendly when you do get a chance to connect with them.

The neighborhood comprises small residential streets, where you ideally have a car, depending on the activities you have planned for your trip. But if not, you are within walking distance of much that Hobe Sound has to offer. When driving please remember to drive slow- children at play.

I grew up on Martha's Vineyard, and my family still lives in my childhood home, where we host on Airbnb. I've since moved to Jupiter, FL, and can be found getting on the ocean in some capacity, whether it be kiteboarding, sailing, SUPing, or surfing. Growing up on an island instilled that love in me.
