Two towers and two pigeonniers (an arrow slit or two) are apparent. Charming gardens are in all directions, fields and woods are there to explore. Surrounded by stunning views from the rolling hills of the Gers to the Pyrenees, delightful walks can be enjoyed in its grounds from the Parc, to the potager, to the vineyard, to the orchard, to the duck-pond, to the beehives, and from the prairies to the woods, where wild boar, deer and hare roam free. The chateau has been beautifully decorated with classical French and English furniture dating from 700 years to the modern. Homage is paid to heritage, and elements from across the world, old and new, ensure that each guest is made to feel at home. Refurbished to the highest standards, every room has an ensuite bathroom. Our honey, our jam, our herbs and our fruit are produced at the chateau, or by friends nearby. Samatan, our nearest town, is the duck and foie gras capital of the world, and home to one of France’s most famous markets.
