Charla was a great host, personally greeting me and giving me instructions about the keys, the heat, about how to get to places I was interested in nearby and also had this same information in writing. When the microwave didn’t work, Charla brought a new one the next day. She provides many little thoughtful amenities like an umbrella, and tire for grocery shopping in addition to having everything you need to cook your meals and have a comfortable stay. Charla also checked back during my stay to be sure all was ok. The unit is very convenient to University of Chicago just a couple of blocks away and the Greater Hyde Park area. I would definitely recommend the cozy studio if you’re planning a stay in that area.

Charla's place was very clean and she is very responsive! She sent clear/concise instructions. The previous reviews about the bed were 100% accurate. In my opinion, the mattress has met it's end and should be replaced. The proximity to the University of Chicago is perfect. There was unseasonable warm weather which allowed an easy walk to shops on 53rd and to the University. The space heater Charla provided was definitely a bonus.

Charla was the best! She was responsive, flexible, and funny in her communications. The studio is lovely and very comfortable. I would recommend her place to anyone I know. I am so happy that I crossed paths with Charla here on Airbnb. I WILL be reaching out to her again when I travel to Chicago!

Great place if you want to stay near the University of Chicago; downtown is also pretty easy to reach by bus. The apartment is nice and clean, has everything you need for a short stay (including Chicago guidebook). It is, however, located in a semi-basement space and is pretty dark. Charla is a great host, she was flexible about the check-in time and provided clear instructions for everything. All in all pretty good listening for its price
