Varunanathan , his wife and a wonderful kid made me feel at home in Jaffna. One of the best, homey experiences I had in a month travelling through Sri Lanka. We had long conversations over dinners, and even celebrated the traditional Pongal holiday together! They gave me their bicycle, and I loved exploring Jaffna cycling around. The room is basic and you need to share a bathroom, but there were no issues with that, and I felt good at this home. You also can rent all the three rooms upstairs and then the whole second floor with a huge terrace and a living room will be yours. If I ever come back to Jaffna, I come to Varunanathan and his kind family. Thank you for everything!

Found this superb place while looking for a homestay for my jaffna tour. To be honest I must say it was well beyond what I expected. I'm extremely satisfied with the stay. The owner is a kind hearted gentleman with great communication. He will guide you with anything you want and he made our stay just like we are living in our own home. we were like part of his family. We tasted best quality Tamil foods at this place. I usually eat Tamil foods from other restaurants but this place was the best I have ever tasted. Place is located in a calm area. Many attractive places can be accessed from here. Super clean place. well organized interior. it does not have air conditioning but it is not too hot inside. They have ceiling fan in each room. Actually I needed to extend my stay at this place but I could not arrange my leave. I would definitely visit this place again. I will recommend this place for anyone who look for a homestay at jaffna town. You will never regret your decision.

It’s one of the best places to live in Jaffna. The hosts are locals and know the places. They offer very good food and their son is really sweet and curious to learn about other cultures. Do not think twice just book it.
