Karinthy Frigyes út is the street Karinflats are located on and walking towards Móricz Zsigmond körtér you’ll find several cafés and restaurants on your way. De Giovanni for instance is a great Italian food on the go restaurant! The second street crossing your way will be Bercsényi utca. Turning left here will take you to the huge shopping mall Allee, which houses tons of shops, restaurants, cafés and a supermarket. Turning right on Bercsényi street will take you Gárdonyi tér, which is packed with pubs and cafés, among them Hadik and Szatyor, which two has huge connected interior with two levels and tables around on the street and the square as well. From here, Gellért square is only a short walk away where you can see the famous Hotel Gellért, the historical Szabadság bridge and the buildings of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Don’t miss Pékműhely bakery on your way to Gellért tér, it’s a small hidden shop that sells freshly baked pastry and is a local favourite! It’s exact address is Bartók Béla út 15, but don’t be surprised that there is no sign or whatsoever outside that you could recognise the place! Gellért hegy is a hill located in the heart of the city with the Statue of Liberty on the very top of it, taking a trip there is a great recreational activity and the the view from the top is breathtaking. You can take the shorter but steeper way from Gellért tér with the winding steps through the park, or start your way back from Móricz Zsigmond tér and walk among the historical houses built on the back of the hill.

Karinflats are located in the 11th district of Budapest, and are situated right next to Móricz Zsigmond körtér, one of the largest transportation hubs in the city. From here you can take numerous buses, trams and metro line M4 to commute around town. Tram 6 is the main line around the city centre and it operates all night long, it has a stop right in front of the building. Public bike-sharing stations (Bubi) are also available nearby, but should you begin your trip on foot, there is a lot to see in the neighbourhood too.
You must pay for parking on the street on weekdays between 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Karinthy Frigyes út, where Karinflats can be entered from is located in Zone-B pay zone, where you must pay 450 huf / hour. There is a huge parking lot in front of the university campus on the bank of the Danube (Műegyetem rakpart) where you can park for free but it might be pretty crowded in some cases. If you prefer to leave your car in a closed parking lot, there is one next to Gellért tér, just a few stops away by tram (but if you feel like walking, it’s a little more than a kilometre). They offer parking on an hourly (300 huf / hour), daily (3000 huf / day) and weekly price (9000 huf / day). The exact address of the parking lot is 1114 Budapest, Kemenes utca 10, its in a small street right next to Hotel Gellért.
If you choose to use public transport during your stay, Budapest offers you plenty of possibilities. From Liszt Ferenc Budapest Airport (BUD) you can take bus 100E which takes you immedeatly to the cinty center within 45 minutes for 2200 huf/ person, or bus 200E which you can take by using simple tickets or passes.
