Central location, close to old town. Host requested a cleaning fee outside of airbnb at checkout. He then turned up when we checked in demanding it immediately, not leaving until one person had been to a cash point to get the money. Appartment had thin walls and could hear all local noise. No wifi (as advertised) but also no signal so hard to make plans. Most electrical sockets falling out of the wall. No toilet paper and rubbish (presumably from previous guests) left behind. Shower drain blocked. Listing implied parking free. There is technically a small amount of free parking available on the street but due to its central location there was no space when we arrived and we had to pay to park elsewhere. It should be made clear that there is no guarantee of free parking as this was a big factor in why we chose this place. For the same cost of this apartment + the paid parking we could have stayed somewhere much nicer.

L'appartement est plutôt bien situé, à proximité du centre ville. Nous avons été assez déçus car l'appartement est froid et sombre, les décorations et la tv montrés sur les photos ne sont plus présents. Il n'y a pas de wifi ce qui serait pourtant nécessaire car il n'y pas de réseau ou très peu. Les prises électriques se décrochent des murs. Il manque des éléments de base pour cuisiner. La salle de bain n'est pas du tout ergonomique. Les voisins sont bruyants et tout ce qui se passe dans la cour résonne beaucoup, prévoyez donc des boules quies. Il nous a également été demandé au dernier moment 20e en liquide pour les frais de ménage.. Le prix est attrayant mais je déconseille ce logement qui n'est pas confortable du tout.

The apartment was situated in a fairly quiet area of Catania. It was listed on the description that there is no wifi but there is also no signal either so you better get out the place if you want to call/text anyone. Flat was not the worst, easy to find and free parking space close by. Host asked for 25€ after we booked the place for the cleaning and also the tourist tax fee. I actually don’t know how they work it out but seemed a bit dodgy to be fair. We left 40€ in the key box for this porpoise and never saw any change back. He also told us that he’d had an accident and that is why he couldn’t put the money back in the box but we’re still waiting for the bank transfer as we are not longer in Catania. Neighbour was an absolute darling though, such a nice a woman that let us use her phone charger as we come from the UK and we need a different plug to charge our phones. She was definitely the highlight of our stay.

El anfitrión se mostró receptivo y amigable hasta que momentos previos a nuestra llegada,nos informó que debiamos dejar un depósito de dinero en efectivo en caución que se nos reintegraria a en el check out. Nos sorprendió porque lo hizo en forma privada FUERA de Airbnb. Nuestro error fue acceder y ese dinero NUNCA fué reintegrado a pesar de nuestra insistencia El apartamento está bien ubicado ,pero las fotos (especialmente el patio y la habitación)son engañosas Faltan elementos básicos en la cocina y sus vecinos son terriblemente ruidosos hasta altas horas de la madrugada y durante el dia. NO LO RECOMIENDO BAJO NINGÚN ASPECTO .Fuimos estafados monetariamente por Vito y por lo que aparentemente ofrecia el apartamento.

Emplacement idéal, à seulement quelques minutes à pieds du centre historique de Catane donc idéal pour découvrir la ville et également proche de la gare. L’appartement est agréable et équipé, seul point négatif un peu sombre et il n’y a pas de réseau (mais cela dépend peut être des opérateurs). Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, Vito est très accueillant et réactif, il n’a pas hésité à nous donner ses bonnes adresses ! Je recommande :)
