The Long Barn offers level access into a contemporary & beautifully furnished space with a well equipped kitchen & living room with a comfy sofa, tv, long dining table, leading through the snug to pour over maps for your next adventure. The large double bedroom retains the restored stable stall to provide a privacy screen from the bunk beds. There is a good sized bathroom with a large one step down shower, wash basin & wc. Private parking at the front with a large outdoor dining table.

We had a fantastic stay at the Lake District cottage. The place was immaculately clean and beautifully presented. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the amenities provided exceeded our expectations. The host's attention to detail was evident throughout our stay, making us feel welcome and comfortable. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting the Lake District.

I stayed here with my three young children. It's a beautiful and peaceful location and a really comfortable place to stay. Alice and George were really friendly and helpful and great with the kids. Would definitely go back.
Absolutely delightful place to stay, right on the fellside in the NE Lake District. The property is pristine, cosy and very well-equipped, perfect for coming back to after a cold day’s hillwalking. Some nice walks from the door, but also just a short drive to the Northern Fells and other areas. Would definitely recommend it.
Had a lovely stay at the long barn for our early Christmas celebration. George and Alice were so friendly and helpful and so was Peter. Also very accommodating to our plans & last minute changes to include extra people. Would stay here again 😊

The Long Barn enjoys a secluded location between Askham & Bampton Grange in The Lake District National Park, 7 miles South of Penrith, just 5 miles from Pooley Bridge at the top of Lake Ullswater, only 3 miles if you take the nearby path across Askham Fell.
