Jeannette’s place was beautiful. The horse farm and equestrian decor made the perfect setting for our Derby weekend getaway. Jeannette was an excellent host and graciously took photos of our group before we headed to the Derby. We had a great time and would love to visit again.
What a beautiful and peaceful place! We loved watching the horses over coffee. Rooms and bathrooms were large and clean and sitting areas were plentiful. Jeanette was very attentive if we needed anything or to answer questions. We plan to return again next year. Lack of a kitchen wasn’t a problem… we planned ahead and I know they are planning to add one in the future.
The house and property exceeded my expectations. Absolutely gorgeous setting. Quite peaceful and relaxing as well. The house has been nicely designed and decorated and is quite comfortable. Besides the nice rooms there is a huge common area on the first floor in a glass enclosed wrap around porch that has spaces to accommodate a large number of guests in their own spaces. Coffee , tea and snacks are available in that area 24/7. The coffee part I liked as that is my first morning thing to do ! I will return as I am from Cleveland and have relatives that I like to see in Shelbyville.
We stayed here with friends and family and we all loved it. Everything was super clean and very comfortable. The furniture and decor were top notch. My wife and I slept on the main floor with a king bed and the bed itself reminded us of a high end hotel bed. The farm itself was beautiful and being around all the horses was definitely a bonus. Jeanette is an awesome host. She was always very quick to respond. She was very friendly and informative and she also respected our privacy while we were there. I would highly recommend this place and we plan to come back again!
