We all need a solitary place to get away at times, just as Jesus did. The Clapping Tree Cabin is designed to be a place of prayer and meditation. Located in the heart of Prayer Mountain, it has direct access to the place where many have prayed for years. Includes: One day bed that expands into a king size bed Platform Rocker and extra comfortable chairs A small dining table with 2 chairs Small Kitchenette with sink, coffee/tea maker, mini fridge, instapot, air fryer, hot plate for cooking and basic kitchen items for making meals. Bathroom with shower, toilet and sink Beautiful mountaintop Sunrise and Sunset views! Hiking and walking available Please note: Clapping Tree Cabin is a separate "cabin" that is directly beside our home. We have a designated parking spot available for our guests.

I really appreciate Gladys's responsiveness to all questions. Location was perfect. LOVED that it is right on Prayer Mountain, affording me walks there numerous times a day. Was perfect for my needs, as I was on a solitary spiritual retreat. Beautiful view from back deck. Hosts were very welcoming

Gladys is very friendly and responsive to anything needed. The place was just as described, perfect for two people. The added breakfast items, coffee, and snacks were a perk that shows she cares about her guest!
Gladys is a wonderful host! She was kind and responsive and the space is lovely. It's a perfect place for one person to have a retreat on prayer mountain, literally just steps from the entrance! This is the closest place you can stay to the top! Be prepared for a steep drive with switchbacks, but my 4 cyl Honda did just fine.

Clapping Tree cabin is located on a paved, one-lane private road called N.Star Drive. It's at the top of the mountain so expect a curvy road. The ridge that we live on allows you to see a panoramic view, including the blue ridge mountain.
