Fantastic stay at the Barrels, it was very clean , beautifully decorated, cozy and had everything we needed for our weekend stay . Location great for exploring and local amenities are plentiful. The hosts Andy and Karen were super friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area

We’re just back from a great 3 night stay at The Barrels. Andy was communicative, welcoming & helpful throughout our stay. The Barrels is very well kitted out, cosy & comfortable (beds are quite soft but that’s a preference & certainly not a complaint), the outside space was lovely & peaceful when the sun finally appeared! The village is quiet, it has a good shop at the local garage, check opening times. There is a fab fish & chip shop, pricey but very good quality. There is The Sun pub (next to the fish & chip shop) which is a quirky old parlour pub still with the 2 traditional front rooms as well as a large extended rear room, it was friendly & they allow you to eat your fish & chips in their garden! The Lion pub is more a bistro pub/restaurant, the food & service were great but it lacked atmosphere. It did have a lovely outdoor area near the river but we didn’t get to enjoy it. We enjoyed some lovely local walks with our daughter & dog & the location is good for days out, enjoy!

Had a lovely stay in a great location. The property was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Hosts, Andy & Karen, were amazing, so friendly and helpful, making it a great place to stay.

Lovely place to stay; we were visiting family and it was just perfect, the bedrooms are lovely with views of the big beautiful gardens. Will be staying again in the future, very responsive to help and anything we needed, left extra touches knowing we had children coming too.
