Great base for the Hunter Valley.

We had a lovely stay at this location. It is very in the middle of nowhere which is accurately described on the listing. Not much to do or see. I would recommend arriving during daylight as the road to get to this location is unsealed (4WD access a must) and it’s quite a long windy, rocky road. Zero reception so contacting the hosts was really difficult and had to drive away from the location to get mobile reception as the landline was not working (instructions in booklet that stated you had to remove the battery from the phone and jiggle it to get it to work). Once we were able to get in touch with the hosts they were very helpful, friendly and proactive. No firewood on arrival however Stephanie was super helpful to have this arranged and delivered the following day and Daniel helped set up the fireplace. (Supply issues outside of hosts control re firewood). kangaroos on the property each morning - a highlight! Thank you for our stay and for the welcome sign. That was a nice touch!

Staying at Goosewing Cottage was amazing! It's such a calm and quiet place, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The view of the mountains was absolutely stunning, and the cottage itself was cozy and comfy. If you want a peaceful retreat with beautiful scenery, Goosewing Cottage is the place to be!
