The Gables is tucked away just steps from the main street of this charming village at the gateway to the Highlands. It's a great spot to recharge after hiking the many paths, golfing, or visiting the local attractions. Explore Perthshire, Stirling and beyond from this perfectly located base. About an hour by car from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, it is also served by local and regional buses. There are shops and places to eat right here and the larger town of Crieff is just 7 miles/11 km east. The Gables is an 1850s stone building lovingly modernized. It's our holiday home and when we can't be in Comrie we are happy to share it with others visiting this delightful conservation village. There is a compact kitchen and a comfy living/dining room. With two bedrooms there's an option for each of you to have your own space. One bedroom has a super king bed. You'll find two double beds in the second room. The bedrooms and family bathroom are upstairs so The Gables is not suitable if you want to avoid stairs. The bathroom has a tub and a separate shower. There's a wee loo downstairs too. High-speed internet makes it easy to work offsite, keep in touch with home or stream to your own devices. We also have Freesat available on a large screen TV. The Gables has parking for one small/medium car and there are two free car parks within a very short walk. An EV charging point is offered in the public car park around the corner.

Had a two night stay at Shirley’s place. The location is beautiful … fabulous walks from the doorstep. Melville’s monument definitely worth the steep walk for the stunning views. The cottage is very comfortable and squeaky clean! Comfy beds … warm and a good shower. Very pleased. Would stay again.
Shirley was a fantastic host. Always proactive. Her house felt like a home away from home. A selection of books and board games. Coffee, tea and milk available in the kitchen. Local recommendations. Thanks for a great stay.
Loved our stay at The Gables.The cottage had everything that we needed and felt like a home from home.Shirley was very proactive from booking to arriving .Bed was really comfy .Bathroom was very spacious with good powerful shower.Kitchen was well equipped and everything has been thought about to ensure a pleasant stay.

Comrie is a delightful conservation village dating from the 1850s. Today it is home to a deli, fruit and veg shop, bakery, chemists, hair dresser and two convenience stores as well as a gallery and post office There's a RBS cash point.
Dining options include an upscale restaurant (Deil’s Cauldron), the Melville bistro, fish and chips and the Cafe Comrie.
See the welcome guide for some of the many things to see and do in the area. Comrie has its own 9 hole golf course that welcomes visitors and the internationally known Gleneagles courses are just down the road.
The Gables is steps from the shops and restaurants of Comrie. It's a two minute walk to the White Church (community centre/wedding venue) and a short drive to Comrie Croft (wedding venue). Historic sites Cultybraggan and Earthquake House are a short drive or a bit of a longer walk away.
