Maison très sympathique, à proximité de la plage et du centre de El Nido. Hôte disponible et arrangeant, l’accès à l’espace de l’hôtel, piscine, bar, restaurant est un vrai plus. La vue depuis la piscine est incroyable, le coucher du soleil est magnifique. Accès à la maison à pied dans de petites ruelles à travers les maisons locales pas toujours pratiques, au milieu des poules et des eaux usées. Le canapé lit du salon mérite d’être remplacé car il est inconfortable. Heureusement nous avons pu nous mettre à 3 (avec un enfant de 7 ans) dans le lit de la chambre d’en bas. La terrasse a l’étage est très appréciable avec vue sur la mer. Un très bon séjour pour notre famille de 6 personnes. Nous recommandons ce logement.

We were a family of six adults plus one baby and had a fantastic stay at Gingerbread cottage. We arrived early and were able to access the restaurant and pool at Karuna resort (which had incredible views) while we waited for check in. Julian and his wife even helped us organise our island hopping tour and had excellent communication in the lead up and duration of our stay. The location was really convenient being within walking distance to the main town and beach. We loved visiting El Nido and would definitely stay at Gingerbread cottage again.

Great house and host. House was large and clean, also walking distance to almost anything you need in El Nido. The host, Julian, was very quick with communication. You'll be very happy with renting this house for your stay in El Nido

Only giving 2 stars because staff did try to accommodate us after issues were addressed but because there was so many issues I do not feel comfortable providing more than 2 stars. The property is located in the middle of a local neighborhood far away from the resort and requires you to cut through about 5 alleys. Although staff allowed us to wait at the pool area, several hours went by before the unit was ready after the check in time. The property had a broken AC unit on the top floor and unit was inhospitable. The property had multiple lizards, one running across the bed, stained sheets and buckets filled with water was left in the shower area. There is only 1 queen size bed despite the pictures portraying that there are multiple. The manager allowed us to stay on the resort but the units we were placed in had many lizards, no hot water, and toilet paper. Resort has shuttle service sometimes and if they don’t answer the intercom you have to hike up a steep dirt road 1/2 mile long.

The place is exactly as described. It was a good private space for our family. The hosts are very communicative and they even helped us find a babysitter for a day. We really love the main resorts infinity pool; great sunset plus they provide the tricycle ride for free. Just send them a message and timeframe and they will have the tricycle ready to pick you up. The area is very close to the main El-Nido town. We did have to ride a tricycle a few times as we have 60+ year olds in our group but for the majority it's walkable. If your group plans to cook at all, you need to bring or buy your own cooking oil, salt, pepper etc. Cons: Our group felt like the beds were quite hard. We had muscle aches every time we woke up. Some of the flooring are breaking apart, we had to cover some areas as our crawling 1 year old keeps finding the broken areas.
